Chicago Urban Book expo

On September 29, 2024, I attended the Chicago Urban Book Expo intending on having a slow sale boring event. Boy was I mistaken! This was the most fun I have ever had at an event. Everyone had so much energy, I was blown away. Yes, most readers had their favorites, but I had really good numbers for Tell Me Why I'm Different, my children's book for autism awareness. There was so much interest it made me feel I had really put something positive into the world. The event highlighted the talent of African American authors in this country, and I truly enjoyed meeting both authors and readers at the event and the meet and greet that happened the night before. This was a truly rememberable event and I can't wait for next year.,
